Felt Creation
🪡 Step-by-Step: Beginner’s Felt Creation Project (Mini Heart Ornament)
🧵 Materials Needed:
- A4-sized felt sheets (your choice of color)
- Embroidery floss (matching or contrasting)
- Sewing needle
- Scissors
- Pins or fabric marker
- Stuffing (cotton balls, scrap felt, or polyester fiberfill)
- Optional: ribbon, buttons, beads

✂️ Instructions:
- Choose Your Shape
Draw or print a small heart shape (or circle/star) onto paper. Cut it out and use as your template. - Trace & Cut Felt
Trace your shape onto the felt twice and cut both pieces. These will form the front and back. - Decorate (Optional)
Add beads, buttons, or embroidery to the front piece before stitching the two halves together. - Blanket Stitch Around the Edges
Use a blanket stitch to sew the edges. Here’s how:- Thread your needle with embroidery floss and knot the end.
- Insert the needle from the inside (between the felt layers) and pull it through the top layer.
- Loop the thread around the needle before pulling tight to create an even stitch on the edge.
- Repeat around the shape, leaving a small gap open.
- Stuff It
Add your filling through the opening. Use a pencil tip or chopstick to push it into the corners. - Close It Up
Finish the blanket stitch to seal the shape completely. Tie a secure knot and trim the excess floss. - Add a Hanging Loop (Optional)
Sew or glue a small ribbon loop on top to turn your felt creation into a hanging ornament.
